How Rose Water is Bringing Sexy Back

Rose oil

Well that catchy title was sure enticing, don't you think? lol...

I've recently discovered the easiest way to obtain natural glowing skin by using only a few simple ingredients. In this post, you'll learn what key ingredients to use when making facial toners and also what essential oils are skin-loving hidden gems.

What is rose water & Why should you use it?

While we love the appearance of long stem roses, the beauty world has found thousands of ways to creatively use these wonderful petals. Both, rose essential oil & hydrosols (waters) are created through processes of steam distillation of the petals. However, the best flowers to use when making your own rose water are organic, non-chemically treated rose petals (ex. Grandma's rose bushes). What's so amazing about this beauty secret, is the ability to be suitable for ALL skin types. It's highly recommended for people with sensitive skin or rosacea because of its anti-inflammatory properties that can help reduce redness of irritated skin, reduce the appearance of acne, dermatitis, and eczema.

Benefits of Rosewater

1. Helps maintain the skin's pH balance

2. Anti-inflammatory 3. Helps hydrate, revitalize, and moisturize skin

4. Antibacterial properties aids in healing scars, cuts, and wounds

5. Antioxidant properties strengthen skin cells and regenerate skin tissues

6. Astringent like properties help clean pores and tones the skin 7. The aroma of rose helps uplift the mood

Skin Loving Essential Oils

Majority of people have heard of essential oils within the recent years, however their hidden potential is often misunderstood by the lack of education. The simplest way to explain what an essential oil is that it comes from distilling various types of plants, trees, herbs, fruits, and resins. There are several essential oils that hold great benefits for skincare that include, but not limited to;

Frankincense, Myrrh, Lavender, Bergamot, Geranium,

Neroli, Patchouli, Rose, Tea Tree, & Ylang-Ylang

Noticed that most of these essential oils are extracted from flowers, which I have come to conclusion that many flowers hold the ancient secrets to beautiful and healthy looking skin.
